As the Arizona State Sun Devils prepare for the Gonzaga Bulldogs and the rest of the Fort Worth Regional, the Pac-12 Conference announced the 2016 All-Conference teams Thursday afternoon with eight Sun Devils earning All-Pac-12 honors.
David Greer, Seth Martinez, Brian Serven and Colby Woodmansee were all placed on the All-Conference Team. Jordan Aboites, Andrew Shaps, Gage Canning and Eder Erives each earned Honorable Mention All-Pac-12 honors.
Woodmansee and Greer each started all 55 games for the Sun Devils. Greer led the team with a .344 batting average, .585 slugging percentage and also led the team in hits (73), runs (47) and on base percentage (.436).
Woodmansee led the team in runs batted in (43) and is currently on pace to be the first Sun Devil shortstop in school history to lead the team in RBIs in back-to-back seasons.
Martinez led all starting pitchers in the conference with a 2.08 ERA. He was second in the conference with nine wins and third in the league with 108.1 innings pitched. Martinez finished with 13 quality starts and has taken no-hitters into the fifth inning on four separate occasions.
The junior right hander was also one of three Sun Devils named to the Louisville Slugger All-American Teams. Martinez was placed on the second team, while Greer and Woodmansee were both placed on the third team.
ASU will face Gonzaga in Game 1 of the Fort Worth Regional Friday at 12 p.m. MT.
