Arizona State began its shortened week of prep ahead of its Friday matchup and first road game against UT-San Antonio. Media viewed stretching and individual drills.

Injury updates:
Most notably, wide receiver Tim White walked through the injury line but was not wearing any visible tape or brace. He donned full pads and stood with the receivers during individual drills but did not participate.
Linebacker Christian Sam and defensive lineman George Lea walked through stretching before going to Muscle Beach during individual drills.
Sam did not play against Texas Tech after suffering an ankle injury against Northern Arizona, and Lea has dealt with nagging injuries since fall camp. His injury is unclear.
Longsnapper Mitchell Fraboni did not wear pads and went to Muscle Beach as well, but he was running along the sideline during individual drills.
Notes:
- Redshirt freshman running back Jason Lewis was at practice and participated in drills with running backs. He was not with the team against Texas Tech.
- Defensive lineman Christian Hill worked with tight ends during individual drills. Hill was instrumental in the Wildcat (or “Sparky) formation against Texas Tech as an extra blocker.
- ASU baseball coach Tracy Smith was at practice.
Just stopped by my first ASU Football practice. That's a lot of bodies to keep organized. Looking good.
