The Arizona State Sun Devils opened Pac-12 play with a come-from-behind win over the California Golden Bears. But, the win didn’t come without an influx of emotions ranging from confusion, disappointment, and ultimately pure joy.
Chad Hansen was a problem
Wow. Chad Hansen makes a great leaping grab over Orr, who had good positioning
— Brad Denny (@BDenny29) September 25, 2016
And the world started to fall apart
Not an ideal first 10 minutes for the Sun Devils so far
— Brad Denny (@BDenny29) September 25, 2016
The game is 10 minutes old. The team is 3-0. https://t.co/6kPaQBsD1P

But Chad Hansen was still being a problem

But Zane Gonzalez was still kickin’ it
Gonzalez hits from 44 yards away and ASU is back within a touchdown. Zane is now 10th all-time in scoring, passing Duke’s Ross Martin.
— Matthew Tonis (@Tonis_The_Tiger) September 25, 2016
Also, how unbelievably X-factor good is Zane Gonzalez all the time?
— Nicholas Billings (@NewDagnyTaggart) September 25, 2016
Zane Gonzalez hits the right post, but the ball caroms through on 23-yard FG for 37-34 ASU lead.@CalFootball has 3:17 and 2 timeouts.

And then the second half started
ASU showing some life on their first drive of the second half! That's a different offense than what we've seen. #CALvsASU

Then Ballage returned
Manny Wilkins on Kalen Ballage's return after exiting this first half: "He's a warrior on a team full of warriors."

Ballage #BYKE

BALLAGE BACK IN THE THIRD QUARTER.
— Jedi ASU (@JediASU) September 25, 2016
YOU KNOW WHO ELSE ROSE UP ON THE THIRD?
JESUS
(I ripped this off)
And Ballage’s hurdle was pretty sweet
Ballage takes a page out of Manny Wilkins' book and gains 6 with a hurdle.
— Craig Morgan (@craigsmorgan) September 25, 2016
And Manny Wilkins slid, and we were very happy about that
Manny Wilkins with the slide worthy of a yellow card.
— Miles Todd (@5280ft_s) September 25, 2016
Manny Wilkins finally learns how to slide, and gets hit as he does so. He got a flag for it, as they’re calling targeting. Review coming.
— Fabian Ardaya (@FabianArdaya) September 25, 2016
The reviewing of targeting calls is what makes college football the greatest sport in the world.

D.J. in the house
The only touchdown I ever scored was a returned onside kick. I got benched for not falling on the ball. Shout out to DJ Calhoun.

Bettor’s paradise
Good coaches win, great coaches cover. #NeverDoubtToddGraham
