Following a very successful signing day for ASU hockey that saw the Sun Devils land four recruits for next season, PJ Marrocco from the Bonnyville Pontiacs of the Alberta Junior Hockey League committed Monday.
I am beyond proud to announce my commitment to play D1 hockey with @SunDevilHockey. Thank you to all my teammates, coaches, friends and family for all their support. #SunDevils

Marrocco joins his Pontiacs teammate Derek Brown who signed the other day along with the three other commits: Josh Maniscalco of the Dubuque Fighting Saints (USHL), Demetrios Koumontzis of Edina High School (MN), and Jordan Sandhu of the Vernon Vipers (BCHL).
A team that is already jampacked with youth, the Sun Devils will continue the trend of having a large crop of young talent for seasons to come.
As for Monday’s addition, Marrocco has spent the last two years playing for the Bonnyville Pontiacs of the AJHL where he has racked up 85 points (48 G, 37 A) in just 81 games.

In addition, Marrocco has sported the “A” on his jersey this season serving as an alternate captain on the Pontiacs.
If the Bonnyville Pontiacs sound familiar that might be because current Sun Devil Hockey standouts Brinson and Steenn Pasichnuk both played their junior hockey with the Pontiacs before joining ASU last season.
With young players like Marrocco set to come in next season and and just two players set to graduate, Arizona State’s future in hockey could certainly be on the upswing.
