In an emphatic 77-33 win, the Arizona State Sun Devils arose victorious in their Monday matchup against Idaho.
Arizona State controlled the majority of the game with its rebounding ability and points in the paint.
The Sun Devils grabbed 52 rebounds over Idaho. In this game, It was recorded as a season high for the team. However, that wasn’t the only point of emphasis made against Idaho.
The Vandals were held to a dismal 24 percent from the field, as the Sun Devils scored 25 points off 18 turnovers.
Points in the paint were in full form for Arizona State. The post offense was thriving, as the Sun Devils scored 46 points in the post.
ASU only shot 31 percent from the three-point line. Throughout the season, there have been games where ASU struggled shooting, but can execute in other aspects with ease. After a loss to No. 13 Florida State the previous weekend, ASU looked to pick up where they left off and get a win at home. They did it by 44 points.
Robbi Ryan, Jamie Ruden and Kianna Ibis lead ASU in scoring. Ryan contributed with 12 points and six rebounds, Ibis added 16 on eight of 12 shooting and Ruden led the way with 19.
Arizona State’s next game will be against Arkansas at 2 p.m. MST in Tempe, Arizona.
