Arguably the most coveted recruit in the 2018 class, Calabasas High School outside linebacker Reggie Hughes whipped out a pen Wednesday, and signed with the Arizona State Sun Devils.
This guy has a nose for the quarterback. 19 sacks in his junior year alone.

We look forward to the chaos he will cause as a Sun Devil.
Welcome, Reggie Hughes! pic.twitter.com/T3dz4mrOM7
Hughes, who is rated a four-star Rivals, and a three-star by both Scout and ESPN, picked ASU over the Big Ten’s Nebraska and Michigan State and the Pac-12’s Washington State, UCLA and Oregon State.
He had a monstrous junior season, racking up 47 tackles (22 for loss) and 19 sacks, but was limited in his senior year. The Calabasas native played in just six games, earning 16 tackles in 2017.
In the eyes of opposing quarterbacks, he’s dangerous, and it’s because of his speed. At 6-2, 210 pounds, Hughes ran his 40-yard dash at 4.69, which was less than two-tenths of a second slower than Louisville commit, Yasir Abdullah, who ran the fastest time of any outside linebacker at 4.54.
Hughes’ highlight reel can be seen below.
