Down three points to Colorado with just over five and half minutes remaining in the game, Manny Wilkins handed the ball off to Eno Benjamin to power through the Colorado front seven to try and gain three yards for the first down.
Benjamin gained the three yards almost untouched. Once he passed the first down marker, the magic began to happen.
The freshman running back broke not one, not two, not three, not four, but five tackles en route to the 19-yard rushing touchdown. This score put the Sun Devils up 34-30 to give them the lead for the first time all game.
With runs like this, Sun Devil fans shouldn’t worry about the losses of Demario Richard and Kalen Ballage, since it seems Benjamin is more than capable of picking up where they left off.
With under a minute left, Wilkins ran the ball in from the one yard line to officially put this game out of reach, 41-30, in what was Arizona State’s 600th program victory.
