Former Basha High School (AZ) quarterback Ryan Kelley has signed and sent in his National Letter of Intent (all the way from Chandler), making his commitment to the Arizona State Sun Devils official.
Kelley gave his verbal commitment to Arizona State in early May and finished last season ranked fifth in the state in passing yards per game (264.2).
The Chandler product threw for 21 touchdowns as a senior and ran for five more on the ground, bringing his total to 84 across three seasons of varsity football. He did commit to Oregon in November of 2015, but decommitted two days prior to announcing his intention to join Todd Graham’s team.
Kelley also held offers from Michigan State, Texas A&M, and UCLA (among others).
247Sports ranks Kelley as the No. 16 pro-style quarterback in the country and is listed as a three-star prospect. Scout, however, as him rated as a four-star.
Kelley stands 6-foot-3 and weights in at around 190 pounds. He will join a long list of quarterbacks on the Sun Devil roster, which includes former starters Manny Wilkins, Brady White, and Dillon Sterling-Cole, another Chandler product in Bryce Perkins, and Alabama transfer Blake Barnett.
