Less than a week after announcing his commitment to Arizona State, Evan Fields made it official by sending in his letter of intent on National Signing Day, inking himself as a Sun Devil.

Fields is rated as a three-star recruit by Rivals, 247 Sports and ESPN, while he earned a four-star designation from Scout. The safety is the fourth defensive back recruit the Sun Devils have landed in their 2017 class.
At Midwest City High School in Oklahoma, Fields established himself as a ball-hawking defensive back who saw time at both free and strong safety, utilizing his 6-foot-2, 190-pound frame to earn his way to numerous Pac-12 and Big-12 offers. Fields chose the Sun Devils over Kansas State, Notre Dame, Oregon, TCU and UCLA.

Editorial Note: Head coach Todd Graham tweeted that Fields had signed this morning at 6:45 a.m. (MST), but that tweet has since been deleted. His paperwork is slated to be processed fully later this morning.
