According to multiple reports, redshirt-senior wide receiver Ellis Jefferson will graduate from Arizona State in May, then transfer to play his final season of eligibility elsewhere.

The Denton, Texas native played four years with the Sun Devils redshirting in his first season.

In 2016, Jefferson caught two passes for 21 yards. He’s made 25 catches for 325 yards and two touchdowns in his career.

This leaves the Sun Devils with 11 on scholarship wide receivers and 15 overall.

The most notable of the pack is last season’s second-best receiving yard-getter (659), sophomore N’Keal Harry. As a true freshman, Harry led the Sun Devils with five receiving touchdowns.

A few key additions to the receiver position this season are redshirt sophomores Oklahoma transfer John Humphrey Jr. and Texas transfer Ryan Newsome.

Along with new personnel comes a newcomer to direct them in former Kansas offensive coordinator Rob Likens, who joined the Sun Devils in December after previously coaching receivers at California from 2013-14 and Kansas in 2015.
