The Devils and Wildcats will (tentatively) continue tomorrow

The final game of the series between Arizona State and Northwestern was postponed Saturday afternoon after a one-hour and 40 minute rain delay at Phoenix Municipal Stadium.

Freshman Spencer Van Scoyoc pitched his way through 2.1 innings while striking out three, walking three and allowing one earned run.

The Sun Devils answered in the bottom of the second inning when sophomore Jeremy McCuin tripled into the left field gap and later scored on a single from Myles Denson.

Weather permitting, the game will pick up tomorrow where it left off, a 1-1 tie in the top of the third with NU having a runner on first and one out.

The Wildcats are scheduled to fly out of Phoenix at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday evening.
