The Arizona State Sun Devils fell 68-53 to the California Golden Bears late Wednesday night. A usually high-offense-producing team shot just above 25 percent from the field, 12% from three, and couldn’t get any rhythm going.
To add insult to injury, ASU was outsized, again. They were out-rebounded 48 to 29 whilst giving up over half of Cal’s points in the paint.
Head Coach Bobby Hurley and junior guard Kodi Justice both noted how the Golden Bears athleticism assisted the downfall of the Sun Devils and how the hot offense they are so used to seeing just couldn’t get it going tonight.
