What can’t Zane Gonalez do?
Arizona State baseball is opening a three-game set against Washington State on Thursday night at Phoenix Municipal Stadium.
Before the series’ first official pitch, the team invited Gonzalez, the Sun Devils’ former place kicker, to throw out the ceremonial first pitch, which you can watch in the video below (3:50 mark).
Gonzalez, the winner of the 2016 Lou Groza Award, is awaiting the NFL draft, scheduled to be held from April 27-29.

He’s the second former Sun Devil football player to toss out the first pitch ahead of a ASU baseball game this month, as former ASU wideout and current Houston Texan Jaelen Strong did so on April 2 before the Sun Devils’ series finale vs. UCLA.
