Aiming to claim their second Pac-12 series win of the season, the Arizona State Sun Devils made the trek to Eugene to take on the Oregon Ducks, who entered the series having suffered five consecutive losses in conference play.
The Sun Devils had their chances over the weekend, taking Saturday’s tilt in exciting fashion and denting the scoreboard early in Sunday’s series finale. But their early lead Sunday dissipated, and the Ducks wrapped up the 3-2 victory en route to a series win.
Following the weekend, the Sun Devils drop to 19-22 on the season (6-12 Pac-12). ASU will toe the rubber again on Friday, when Stanford comes to town for a three-game series.
