The St. John Bosco product announced his decision an hour after the Sun Devils picked up a commitment from Mission Viejo (Calif.) linebacker Christian LaValle.
Flowers is the sixth prospect to commit to ASU for its 2018 class (fourth out of Californi), and the third in the last two days. He’s the second running back to pledge with the Sun Devils this circuit, following Brock Sturges’ decision.
The 6-foot-1, 210-pound ball carrier is tipped a four-star recruit by Scout, and a three-star player by Rivals and 247 Sports. He is unranked by ESPN.
During his junior year, Flowers rushed for 954 yards and 20 touchdowns on 126 carries. The Bellfower (Calif.) native has also seen time at linebacker during his high school career.
The 2016 CIF-Southern Section title-winner held offers from UCLA, San Diego State, Boston College, Hawaii, Iowa State, and Wisconsin.
