Arizona State earned the commitment of class of 2018 Allen, Tex. running back Brock Sturges on Friday morning, according to scout.com.

Sturges is the first offensive player in the class of 2018 to commit to ASU as he joins the likes of three-star defensive backs Elijah Doyle who committed on June 3 and Dominique Harrison who made his commitment on May 16.
Sturges visited the University of Colorado on June 5 and then Arizona State on June 6. After he made the trek down to the University of Arizona on June 7, he committed to ASU two days later.

Sturges rushed for 1,138 yards and 16 touchdowns in his junior season at Allen High School. At 5-foot-9, 193 pounds, Sturges ranks as the 54th best RB in the nation and eighth in Texas, according to scout.com. His 40-yard comes in at 4.75.
Led by seniors Demario Richard and Kalen Ballage, Arizona State currently has nine running backs on its roster. Freshmen Eno Benjamin and Trelon Smith were Arizona State’s lone backs in its 2017 recruiting class.
