Following an injury to starting quarterback Manny Wilkins the previous week against USC, redshirt freshman quarterback Brady White was called into action to start against the vaunted, yet struggling, UCLA Bruins at Sun Devil Stadium.
White was uninspiring in the second half against the Trojans, and continued his inconsistent play against UCLA. That is, until things began clicking in the third quarter.
ASU scored points on each of its first two possessions of the second half only to be matched by UCLA leading to a pivotal possession heading toward 15 minutes of play.
Tied at 13, White led the Sun Devils on a seven-play, 75-yard drive capped off with a 14-yard strike to freshman N’Keal Harry to give ASU a lead it would never give back.
Brady White to N’Keal Harry. That’s the quarterback ASU fans have been clamoring for for weeks. Sun Devils lead 20-13 through three quarters

The toss to Harry was White’s second and final touchdown toss of the season as his season ended just two drives later when he sustained an ankle injury that kept him out for the season and spring practice.
The Sun Devils wound up winning the game 23-20. It was the last win ASU would claim in 2016.
