Top Moments: ASU volleyball downs Arizona in five thrilling sets to finish 2016 season

The Sun Devils trumped the Wildcats in thrilling fashion.

Whenever any team in the Arizona State athletic department beats its rival from down south, it creates a memorable experience for Sun Devil fans everywhere.

The Sun Devil volleyball team was able to beat the Wildcats in a tumultuous five set victory on its senior night on Nov. 26, 2016.

The match was truly a battle back and forth all night. The Wildcats took sets one and three, while the Sun Devils took sets two, four and five.

Capping the night on a 20-18 win in the fifth set.

Although it was senior night, freshman outside hitter Ivana Jeremic led the way to a Sun Devil victory. She finished the night with a career high 21 kills and boasted an impressive .409 hitting percentage.

Alongside Jeremic, junior middle blocker Oluoma Okaro had 20 kills in a big night for the Sun Devils. Sophomore setter Kylie Pickrell notched the 10th most assists in a match during the rally scoring era for a Sun Devil with 64.

Both Jeremic and Okaro are back to play in a Sun Devil uniform this upcoming season. Pickrell has since transferred to play volleyball at North Carolina State.

The Sun Devils will feature a roster next season that brings in a lot of new faces as the turn around in Tempe continues.
