11-on-11 Rundown

Wilkins: Ballage was open in the middle of the field, as he caught the ball for a five-yard gain and was then tackled immediately after. Another ball was thrown to the middle of the field and well defended by a jumping Williams who batted the pass away. Humphrey caught about a 12-yard pass and on a slant route over the middle. On the next play, Harvey ran about and six yards forward, turned around and caught a pass before he was tackled.

Barnett: With the first-team offensive line, but second-team receivers and running backs, Barnett faced a mix of the first and second-team defense. The offensive line later changed to second-team in the middle of Barnett’s reps.

Darby was open on an out route to the outside as he caught a perfectly thrown pass near out of bounds. Head coach Todd Graham yelled "third and 13! Barnett then threw about an eight yard pass to Darby that was caught. After the play, Graham yelled "fourth down!" Barnett passed to Williams over the middle for just enough yardage to gain the first down. Barnett’s final two passes were thrown incomplete near the middle of the field.

White: On a ball well thrown about 20 yards near the middle, it was deflected off the hands of Hodges near his chest and picked off by Whiley.

Notes

  • Media was asked to leave after White’s first play. This was the first pass media saw White throw in an 11-on-11 format in fall camp.
  • Darius Slade, an Ohio State defensive lineman transfer, was spotted at practice by Doug Haller of azcentral.com. Slade will play with the Sun Devils beginning in the 2018 season and has two years of eligibility
