TEMPE — The Arizona State Sun Devils completed their first practice of their final week of the 2017 preseason. The biggest change today was the debut of gold scout team jerseys for most players not in the two-deep.

Weather: 95 degrees, 24 percent humidity

11-on-11 Rundown

Media was only allowed to see the first team’s drive of 11-on-11 and nothing eventful went on, which is a step in a positive direction. Kalen Ballage carried the ball and Manny Wilkins was 1-for-2 through the air, overthrowing John Humphrey in the end zone on the final play of the drive.

Special Teams: John Humphrey, Ryan Newsome and Jacom Brimhall alternated catching punts from Michael Sleep-Dalton. The punter only practiced straight on kicks, as opposed to rugby-style which we could see eventually.
