11-on-11 Rundown:

The media was only able to view the entire offensive drive from the first team Monday morning. It started with Wilkins tossing screen passes to Ballage and Richard before N’Keal Harry made a spectacular one-handed grab down the left sideline. Terell Chatman then made the last catch of the drive, a short reception on a touch pass from Wilkins.

Special Teams:

John Humphrey and Jacob Brimhall received straight-on kicks from redshirt sophomore Michael-Sleep Dalton Monday morning.

Notes:

  • While the first and second-team offensive unites look all but solidified, expect more movement on the defensive side of the ball, especially with Phil Bennett’s emphasis on experimenting and finding his guys. We may be just three days away from kickoff, but the defense will likely shift around as Bennett looks for his SPUR and cornerback playmakers.
  • Texas transfer receiver Ryan Newsome remained on muscle beach during tempo and 11-on-11 drills Monday morning.
  • Azcentral.com’s Doug Haller tweeted the week one depth chart out Monday following media availability. An interesting observation: Ryan Newsome getting the start over John Humphey in the slot.
