Arizona State (3-4-1) bounced back from a tough extra time defeat on Friday night by exploding with four goals to defeat Weber State (1-7-0), 4-0.

The Sun Devils put a lot of pressure on Weber State in the first half as they put up 14 total shots but were not able to find the back of the net. Just two minutes into the second half, ASU broke through.

Angela Boyle was in perfect position to score her second goal of the season as she finished Jemma Purfield’s cross with her head.

In the 76th minute, Devin Kelsey doubled the Sun Devils lead by striking her first goal of the season from outside the box. In the following four minutes, Arizona State blew the doors off the wildcats and expanded their lead to four.

Natalie Stephens scored her third goal of the season in the 78th minute. Once the second and third goal were scored, Arizona State could not stop, as Olive Jones scored her second goal of the season to expand the lead to 4-0 in the 80th minute.

After scoring only four goals in their previous five games, Arizona State matched that total, while Nikki Panas recorded her second clean sheet of the season after making two saves in the shutout.

This is the type of game the Sun Devils needed to get their confidence up as they head into conference play on next week. Arizona State will take on Oregon State on Friday at 7 p.m. in Tempe.
