The Arizona State Sun Devils men’s basketball team released its full 2017-18 schedule on Tuesday morning. Arizona State’s full schedule with correct times, dates and broadcast information can be found here.
The Sun Devils play an intriguing non-conference schedule that includes the Continental Tire Las Vegas Invitational with games against Xavier who entered the 2017 NCAA Tournament as an 11 seed and beat the 2-seed Arizona Wildcats in the Sweet Sixteen and then fell to Gonzaga (1-seed) in the Elite Eight, and George Washington, who finished 20-15 last season — good for fifth in the Atlantic 10. The Hoop Halls classic features a contest against St. John’s in the Staples Center. However, Arizona State’s most difficult test will against Kansas at the Allen Fieldhouse.
The Sun Devils finished the season 15-18 (7-11 Pac-12) last season and beat five teams in the Pac-12, winning games against Washington (twice), Stanford (three times), Colorado, Oregon State and USC.
Headlining Arizona State’s home non-conference schedule this will be against Vanderbilt (9-seed in 2017 NCAA Tournament) and San Diego State.
ASU opens Pac-12 play on Saturday, Dec. 30. against Arizona, who beat the Sun Devils twice last season, 91-75 on Jan. 12 and 73-60 on March 4.
