The Arizona State Sun Devils took the field for the first time since their season-opening win over New Mexico State Thursday. It was the team’s first practice inside the Verde Dickey Dome in quite some time, but not everyone spent the entire media portion inside. The players listed as being on muscle beach left the facility after stretch to hit the sand.

- During warmup lines, senior running back Demario Richard jogged on the end of the line with a brace on his right knee. Richard exited Thursday’s game after one rush, on which he lost four yards.
- Redshirt sophomore defensive lineman Jalen Bates was out of a green non-contact jersey for the first time since sustaining an injury during warmups at Washington last season.
The Sun Devils did one drive of 11-on-11 with the first-team offense and first-team defense squaring off. The drive featured multiple runs by Ballage and was capped off by a nice pass from Wilkins to Harry on the left sideline.
