ASU Football: DL JoJo Wicker declares for 2018 NFL Draft, forgoing his senior season

Wicker will look to take his talents to the next level.

Defensive end JoJo Wicker took Twitter to announce his entry into the 2018 NFL Draft Tuesday night, forgoing his senior season.

Wicker led the Sun Devils with 13 tackles for for loss — good for sixth in the Pac-12 — and was third at ASU behind DJ Calhoun and AJ Latu with six sacks.

The 6-3, 273-pound lineman was named to second team All-Pac-12 in both his sophomore and junior seasons.

He ranks 22nd of 136 defensive ends in the 2019 NFL Draft class by

Wicker’s best game this season undoubtedly came against Oregon State when he earned 1.5 sacks, four tackles and recovered a fumble.

With Wicker and Tashon Smallwood gone, this leaves Renell Wren as the lone returning starter on the defensive line.
