The Arizona State Sun Devils (15-5, 3-5 Pac-12) fell 80-77 to the Utah Utes (13-7, 5-4) in overtime on Thursday night in Wells Fargo Arena.

Shannon Evans converted on a layup to take 69-66 with nine seconds to go in regulation. Utah’s Sedrick Barefield then hit a 3-pointer with three seconds to go, sending the game into overtime. From then on, ASU was outscored 11-8.

Stat leaders

ASU: Tra Holder (23 points, 10 rebounds, four assists), Evans (14 points, seven rebounds) Martin and De’Quon Lake each scored 10.

Utah: Barefield (17 points), Tyler Rawson (15 points, nine rebounds, four assists), Justin Bibbins (15 points, six assists), Jayce Johnson (15 points, six rebounds).
