After a strong start in Pac-12 play, including a victory against Arizona State in overtime the first time around, Colorado (12-9, 4-5), travels to Tempe to take on the Sun Devils (15-5, 3-5) for the second time this season.
Since beating ASU on Jan. 4, Colorado has been a bit inconsistent — recording wins against U of A, UCLA and Washington State at home, but picking up losses against USC, Washington and Arizona on the road.
Over their last six games, the Buffs’ have averaged right around 70 points per game while giving up almost 72.
Arizona State is also 3-3 in conference play since its last matchup against Colorado but most recently took an overtime loss at home to Utah, 80-77.
Since Pac-12 play started, the Sun Devils have been stooping down to their competition — only averaging 77.9 PPG after scoring over 90 during its 12-0 non-conference slate.
One takeaway from ASU’s performances in the Pac-12 is every game has been decided by single digits. And for the Devils on Saturday, a tight matchup is likely in store.
The Sun Devils will look to avenge the overtime loss earlier in the season on Saturday at 6:00 p.m. in Tempe.
