AP Poll: Sun Devils drop to No. 25 after another weekend split

Could be worse.

After splitting a conference weekend for the fourth time to begin conference play, the Arizona State Sun Devils are on the verge of dropping out of the AP Poll, coming in at No. 25 this week. This is the fifth week in a row the Sun Devils have dropped after peaking at No. 3 on December 25.

After losing 80-77 in overtime to Utah, ASU rebounded with a decisive win over the Colorado Buffaloes 80-66, which likely saved the Sun Devils from not having a number to the left of their name this week.

Aside from ASU, the No. 9 Arizona Wildcats are the only other ranked Pac-12 team, but the red-hot USC Trojans also received votes.

The Sun Devils can remedy their slide with games at Washington and Washington State on Thursday and Sunday, before heading home for five of their final seven games of the regular season.
