Johnson Jr. is currently attending Venice High School in Los Angeles, California. He is ranked by 247Sports and Rivals as a four-star recruit. Johnson Jr. has also received offers from Oregon State and Florida Atlantic. With interest from Stanford and USC.
The 6-foot-2, 180 pound, Johnson Jr. is ranked as the 19th best player in California and 31st for wide receivers according to 247Sports. He is also ranked as the 193rd best player in the nation of the 2020 class by 247Sports.
The NFL connections continue to pay forward for Herm Edwards and what he is attempting to build in Tempe. His linebackers coach and recruiting coordinator Antonio Pierce led the way in Johnson Jr’s recruitment.
