Injury update

Senior safety Jalen Harvey was around practice in a green jersey but didn’t participate in team drills.

Senior safety Demonte King didn’t participate during Tuesday’s practice after suffering an injury against UCLA.

The usual suspects were in the bubble for practice this week, including quarterback Ryan Kelley, wide receivers John Humphrey and Ryan Newsome, and defensive back Ty Thomas.

What went on

Practice began with kicker Brandon Ruiz practicing field goals from various distances and punter Michael Sleep-Dalton booming punts all over the field.

Since the team wasn’t working in pads, all of the drills were based on footwork and technique.

Both the starting offensive and defensive players participated in walk throughs against the scout team rather than actually facing off against each other.
