On Early Signing Day, the Arizona State Sun Devils picked up another big commitment with defensive end Stephon Wright giving his pledge to ASU. In his senior year, Wright had 17 tackles for a loss, 5.5 sacks, and 15.5 sacks over his entire career.

Wright is currently attending Cathedral High School in Los Angeles, California. He is ranked as a four-star strong-side defensive end by 247Sports and Rivals. Wright also received offers from Alabama, Oklahoma, Mississippi State, Washington, Oregon and considered USC strongly.

The 6-foot-3, 260 pound, Wright is rated as 33rd best player in California, the 18th best strong-side defensive end in the nation and the 255th overall recruit by 247Sports. His recruitment was led by defensive line coach Shaun Nua and linebacker coach Antonio Pierce. With Doug Subtyl and Jordan Hoyt graduating, ASU wants to add continued depth to their defensive line.

Johnson is the 21st commit of the 2018 class and the third defensive end joining other defensive ends Anthonie Cooper, Amiri Johnson, offensive linemen LaDarius Henderson, Roman DeWys, Alijah Bates, Dohnovan West, Ben Scott, defensive backs Jordan Clark, Willie Harts, wide receivers Andre Johnson, Ricky Pearsall, Jordan Kerley, quarterbacks Jayden Daniels, Ethan Long, Joey Yellen, tight end Nolan Matthews, linebacker Connor Soelle, athlete Ty DeArman, twins Keon and Kejuan Markham.
