Not one, not two, but three talented freshmen quarterbacks will be making their way to Tempe this Spring as early enrollees.
Along with Joey Yellen and Jayden Daniels, Ethan Long signed with the Sun Devils on Wednesday morning.
Coming out of West Linn High School in Oregon, Long was Herm Edwards’ first quarterback commitment of the 2019 class.
Extremely proud to announce I am now OFFICIALLY an Arizona State Sun Devil! #ForksUp

Long will be in the running for the starting quarterback battle this Spring and likely throughout the Fall, and he boasts some more talent under center. According to 247Sports, he was the 20th best pro-style quarterback, and the third best quarterback in the state of Oregon.
Long also received interest from schools with FCS and Ivy League prowess, such as Brown, Colombia and Dartmouth. His only other FBS offer was from Utah, marking the second quarterback that Edwards and his staff was able to nab from the Utes (Jayden Daniels also had an offer).
The Northwest native threw for over 3,000 yards both years as an upperclassman at West Linn, and he threw for 64 touchdowns in his time at the school.
