Just a few hours after Mr. Irrelevant was announced at the NFL Draft, former ASU linebacker D.J. Calhoun got a call from a NFL team. The linebacker posted a picture on Twitter, signifying his undrafted free agent signing with the Cleveland Browns.

Calhoun played 51 games for Arizona State during his four year career. The linebacker racked up 237 tackles, 19.5 sacks and 38 tackles for a loss while wearing the Maroon and Gold.
In his final year in Tempe, Calhoun finished with 99 tackles and six and half sacks ranking him second on the team in both categories.
Calhoun was a stable of the Sun Devils’ defensive along with fellow linebacker Christian Sam, but he most exciting play for Arizona State didn’t come on defense.
On September 24, 2016, Calhoun returned a 42-yard onside kick for a touchdown to seal the victory against Cal.

With both Calhoun and Sam moving on to the NFL, look for Khaylan Thomas, Nick Ralston and Malik Lawal to join the only returning starting linebacker Jay Jay Wilson as replacements.
