The No. 8 Sun Devils patiently awaited their tournament fates to be decided, and the committee rewarded them for their excellent season on Sunday night.
The Sun Devils will serve as host for the regionals and potentially the super regionals in the first rounds of the NCAA Tournament.
This is the first time since 2014 the Sun Devils have hosted a regional and their 22nd consecutive postseason appearance.
ASU’s regional includes some familiar opponents. Their first match-up will be against the New Mexico State Aggies; a team the Devils have defeated twice this past season. The remainder of their region includes Ole Miss and Long Beach State.

Several conference opponents have also been awarded regional sites. Both No. 1 Oregon and No. 3 UCLA will be hosting their own regionals as top-four seeds, No. 5 Washington and No. 14 Arizona will also be hosting in their respective cities. Oregon State was selected in the Tuscaloosa Regional and California will play in the Athens Regional.
The Devils match-up against New Mexico State will be this Friday at 6:30 p.m MST. The game can be streamed through WatchESPN.
