The Arizona State Sun Devils received a commitment from 6-4, 270-pound Waxahachie High School offensive lineman Ladarius Henderson on Thursday morning.

Henderson is not ranked by either 247Sports or Rivals but the Waxahachie, Texas native also held offers from Boise State, Army, North Texas, New Mexico State and others.

According to GoMeanGreen.com, Henderson did not play high school football before transferring to Waxahachie High School ahead of his junior season and is still very new to football.

The article also mentions Henderson recently went to the doctor’s office and was told he still has room to grow, which could see him grow to 6-foot-6 or taller. According to Devils Digest, too, the 17-year old currently has a 7-4 wingspan and 12-inch hands.

He’s listed as a center by 247Sports and as an offensive tackle in his Twitter bio, but Henderson played four games on defense his junior season. He returned one interception for 53 yards, while gathering seven tackles and defending four passes. He also returned three kickoffs for 62 yards.

This the Sun Devils’ seventh commitment in the 2019 class. Arizona State currently ranks seventh in 247Sports’ 2019 Pac-12 recruiting class rankings.
