With just a minute and a half remaining, No. 22 ASU (10-3, 1-1) was staring down a 63-57 deficit. But an 8-0 run pushed the Devils to victory all right before the final buzzer.

ASU handed Utah (12-1, 1-1) their first loss of the season in a 65-63 victory over the Utes Friday night.

Senior forward Kianna Ibis scored back-to-back threes and junior guard Reili Richardson scored the final shot; a 20-foot, off-balance bank shot to get the Devils back to their winning ways.

Ibis finished with 11 and Richardson finished with six as well as five assists.

Senior forward Courtney Ekmark led the scoring with 15, while senior center Charnea Johnson-Chapman added 12 and eight boards.

Leading to the Richardson winner, senior forward Sophia Elenga blocked a shot by Utah senior Megan Huff. The loose ball was corralled by Ekmark and she called a timeout with 3.3 seconds.

On the inbound, Richardson was fouled with 2.2 seconds left, and after the next inbound, the rest is history.

The Devils in total made 24 of their 60 shots, and just five of 16 threes. The Devils out- rebounded Utah 36 to 29.

The Devils conclude their Rocky Mountain road trip Sunday in Boulder when they face the Colorado Buffaloes (10-2, 0-1). Tipoff will be at 2 p.m. It can be viewed on the Pac-12 Networks and heard on NBC Sports Radio AM 1060.
