The No. 24 Arizona State Sun Devils look to rebound against the UCLA Bruins on Saturday. Here is the takeaways from the team’s first practice of the week.

Last Practice: Wednesday, October 16

Next Practice: Wednesday, October 22

Injury Update

Linebacker Khaylan Kearse-Thomas, who left the Utah game in a walking boot, went into the bubble and only had his jersey on. Cornerbacks Timarcus Davis and Jordan Clark also had no pads on. Safety Cam Phillips missed the Utah game due to a hamstring issue. He stretched with the team but also went to the bubble.

Running back Isaiah Floyd was still absent from practice.

What Went On

The practice was special teams heavy in the 20 minutes of media viewing portion. The staff added extra spin to the kickoff/punt machine. Brandon Aiyuk seemed to have a hard time catching the ball and dropped about three attempts.

In his press conference on Monday, head coach Herm Edwards talked about having a seven-man offensive line rotation, but from the drills it appeared to be the same starting five of Ladarius Henderson, Alex Losoya, Cohl Cabral, Dohnovan West, Steve Miller.
