Information from each recruiting services, 247Sports and Rivals, have that now-former Sun Devil commits, wide receiver Kobe Stewart and offensive lineman Frank Thompson both decomitted from the Sun Devils on Thursday.
Thompson was a local product from Liberty High School from Peoria. Stewart was from Narbonne High School that has been a hotbed for Arizona State.
Since the start of November this marks the fourth and fifth (Blake Shapen, Caine Savage and Aidan Finney) Sun Devil commit to change plans.
However this isn’t the worst thing for the Sun Devils it appears. Stewart rated as a three-star by Rivals and 247Sports may have lost his spot because of the traction Arizona State is making on other recruits at the position. Four-star receivers; Oregon commit Johnny Wilson, LV Bunkley-Shelton and Elijah Badger appear to be atop the Sun Devils’ list and vice versa.
Thompson was rated by both sites as the Sun Devils’ lowest rated commit, even being a two star on Rivals and Herm Edwards and company have explained that they want to test the transfer portal for offensive line help.
Do the decommits worry you or is it better in the long run?
