ASU Football: Practice Report (12/20)

Here is the report from the Arizona State Sun Devils’ last media viewed practice in Tempe before they head off for Christmas and then El Paso for the Tony the Tiger Sun Bowl.

Injury Update

Starting safety Cam Phillips worked on muscle beach. Freshman safety Connor Soelle was the only one without shoulder pads on.

Running back Demetrious Flowers was not observed.

What Went On

Tony White continued to call defensive plays after being promoted to the defensive coordinator on Thursday.

Things were pretty short on Friday and was a light practice. The best play of the day came on a deep ball from Jayden Daniels to Nolan Matthews. Matthews went up high to grab a ball over Willie Harts, who was in place for Cam Phillips. The catch drew quite the reaction from Matthews’ teammates.

Outside of that the offense appeared to be pretty vanilla as the team heads closer to the bowl game.
