ASU Baseball: Potential regional spots for the Sun Devils

Where will they end up?

Richard Martinez/ House of Sparky

Barring an incredible shock, the Arizona State baseball team will be back in the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2016.

The NCAA late on Sunday will announce the 16 regional sites via its Twitter. We wanted to take a look at where the Sun Devils might end up.

Texas Tech (Lubbock, TX)

In Sunday’s D1Baseball.com’s projected field, they had ASU at the Big 12 school as the two-seed. The regional also included Texas State and Grand Canyon. The Red Raiders are a projected top-eight seed as they won the regular season conference title.

Arkansas (Fayetteville, AR)

For Baseball America, this is where they put the Sun Devils. Arkansas, last season’s runner-up, won 40 games again this season and finished tied for third in the SEC.

Oklahoma State (Stillwater, OK)

In the field of 64 projections, ASU has been put with the Cowboys multiple times. OSU has ended the season scorching hot and may end up as a top-eight seed as well.

Texas A&M (College Station, TX)

The Aggies are fighting for a potential host spot. If they happen to get one, it won’t be a surprise to see ASU headed to Texas for a regional again.

LSU (Baton Rouge, LA)

The Tigers seemed locked into a regional spot. With only a few amount of close to west hosts and if ASU isn’t Texas-bound, Louisiana may be the next best option.

Of course, the selection committee could give UC Santa Barbara a host and ASU would be headed to Las Vegas most likely or ASU is sent east for postseason.

Where do you think ASU ends up?
