Before the start of the Women’s College World Series, the National Fastball Coach’s Association announced its All-American list from Oklahoma City on Wednesday. Included in the list were two Sun Devils; outfielders Morgan Howe and Kindra Hackbarth.
Howe made the first-team as an outfielder along with Arizona’s Alyssa Palomino-Cardoza, Florida’s Amanda Lorenz and Ole Miss’ Kylan Becker. In her senior season, Howe had a .402 average, 12 home runs and a team-high 61 RBI. She also added 10 stolen bases, 16 doubles, three triples and three outfield assists.
To Howe’s left side was Hackbarth in right field. The junior put together a Third-Team All-American season behind 17 home runs, 57 RBI and a team-high 18 doubles. She also led the team with a .412 average that places her 33rd in the nation. Her .985 fielding percentage led all primary starters for ASU.
Howe and Hackbarth are the 42nd and 43rd All-Americans in Sun Devil softball history.
