Notable players: Azahara Munoz, Carlota Ciganda, Jaclyn Sweeney
The rundown: Head Coach Melissa Luellen took the Sun Devils to their seventh national title among a tumultuous season in 2008. A Golf Digest article chronicled her bout with the recurrence of cancer, and the pink ribbons ASU golfers attached to their bags. Senior Azahara Munoz, the defending NCAA Individual Champion, finished tied for fourth in the tournament. Munoz finished the season with a 71.72 stroke average, and was named the Pac-10 Scholar of the Year, First Team All-Pac-10, an ESPN Magazine All-American and a Golfweek First Team All-American.
No. 12 2005 Baseball

In Omaha, the team fell to Nebraska in the first round, then took down Tennessee and came back against Nebraska, only to fall in the semifinals against Florida. ASU finished with the second-most players on the CWS All-Tournament team (four) second only to the national champion Texas’ six.
