After snagging a two-sport athlete this morning, ASU was back in the evening with the program’s second commitment of the day. Athlete Caine Savage out of Western High School in Anaheim committed to come play for Herm Edwards in Tempe.
A wide receiver and cornerback, Savage is listed as a three-star recruit by Rivals and 247Sports.

The 5-foot-11, 175-pound athlete recorded 124 catches for 1,204 yards and 32 touchdowns in his junior campaign at Western. He also made 87 tackles on the defensive side of the ball. It is not yet determined whether Savage will be featured as a wideout or a corner.
To add more versatility to his repertoire, Savage also has experience returning kicks as a possible weapon on the special teams’ unit.
Savage was offered by ASU in March and fielded other interest from schools such as San Diego State, San Jose State, Rutgers, and Nevada.
With the commitment, add another name to the 2020 class that already features wide receiver Chad Johnson Jr., athlete T Lee, cornerback Macen Williams, linebacker Will Shaffer, defensive back DJ Taylor, quarterback Blake Shapen, and offensive linemen Micah Soliai Howlett and Frank Thompson.
