Arizona State football received its ninth commitment of June and 12th overall of the 2020 class on Friday. Georgia safety Doneiko Slaughter pledged his commitment via Twitter:

Slaughter joins the class of quarterback Blake Shapen, wide receiver Chad Johnson Jr., running back DeaMonte Trayanum, athletes T Lee and Caine Savage, cornerback Macen Williams, linebacker Will Shaffer, defensive back DJ Taylor and offensive linemen Micah Soliai Howlett and Frank Thompson. The class is currently rated 42nd by 247Sports.

The product from Roswell, Georgia is rated a three-star by both 247Sports and Rivals. He is currently ranked the 84th best safety in the nation and 112th best recruit from Georgia. He also had offers from Mississippi State, Memphis, East Carolina and a handful of others.

Slaughter continues the trend of ASU’s recruiting east of the Mississippi River. He joins Lee as a recruit from Georgia, while the Sun Devils also have commits from Louisiana, Florida and Ohio.
