This is a big man

In the midst of Pac-12 Media Day, ASU received another commitment for its 2020 recruiting class. This one has an international twist, Paul Rubelt from Germany announced on Twitter that the Sun Devils offered him a scholarship and he was 100 percent committed.

Rubelt is not currently ranked by either Rivals or 247Sports. The product from Deutschland, Berlin is a large man, however. Weighing in at 280 pounds, while being 6-foot-10, has colleges hoping they can unlock the talent in the physical specimen.

He had received offers from Florida State, Minnesota, UCF, Rutgers, UMass and Buffalo before ASU.

Here is a clip of him training:

ASU continues to try to build offensive line depth with six current Sun Devil linemen being seniors. Rubelt joins Jacob Nunez, Ben Bray, Micah Soliai Howlett and Frank Thompson.

Coming into Wednesday ASU’s class of the linemen joined by quarterbackBlake Shapen, wide receiver Chad Johnson Jr., running back DeaMonte Trayanum, athletes T Lee and Caine Savage, cornerback Macen Williams, linebacker Will Shaffer, defensive back DJ Taylor and safety Doneiko Slaughter ranked 44th in the nation by 247Sports.
