ASU Baseball: Cape Cod/USA Baseball Summer update

With a lot of the younger roster of ASU baseball playing games across the country this summer, here’s an update on how they are doing.

Rising junior first baseman Spencer Torkelson (Chatham Anglers/USA Baseball CNT)

Torkelson of course goes into next season with an opportunity to be the first overall pick in the 2020 MLB Draft.

Whether it be in Cape Cod or team USA, he’s still hitting Tork Bombs.

Rising junior shortstop Alika Williams (Bourne Braves/USA Baseball CNT)

After he received a training camp invite, Williams made the roster for the country’s collegiate national team.

Rising junior third baseman Gage Workman (Brewster Whitecaps)

Cape Cod Stats: 18 G, 14 H, 3 XBH, 4 SB .230 AVG

Rising junior left fielder Trevor Hauver (Hyannis Harbor Hawks)

Cape Cod Stats: 16 G, 1 HR, 9 RBI, 12 BB .218 AVG

Rising junior right-handed pitcher Brady Corrigan (Y.D. Red Sox)

Cape Cod Stats: 3.1 IP, 13.50 ERA, 3 SO

Rising junior right-handed pitcher Boyd Vander Kooi (Y.D. Red Sox)

Vander Kooi was on a short inning limit and has returned home.

Rising sophomore left-handed pitcher/outfielder Erik Tolman (Y.D. Red Sox)

Rising junior right-handed pitcher R.J. Dabovich (Chatham Anglers)
