ASU continues to prepare for its upcoming road test against Michigan State in East Lansing. The media’s viewing of practice was held to around 25 minutes today. Here’s what we saw:

Last Practice: Monday, September 9

Next Practice: Wednesday, September 11 (Closed to media)

Injury Update

Linebacker Stanley Lambert was in a green non-contact jersey.

Linebacker Tyler Johnson continued to work on conditioning on the opposite field of action. Johnson had his left leg wrapped up. Cornerback Jordan Clark was in the bubble for today’s practice.

What Went On

In the media session, special teams was another heavy fixture for the Sun Devils. Special teams coach Shawn Slocum had the players work on punt blocks while trying to keep the ball close enough to be returned for a potential touchdown.

For the offensive line, the starting five stayed consistent with Steve Miller and Jarrett Bell returning to the lineup after being banged up in the Sac State game.

The second group of the offensive line when going through drills consisted of, (LT) LaDarius Henderson, (LG) Spencer Lovell, (C) Cody Shear, (RG) Roy Hemsley, and (RT) Ben Scott.

The defensive line continued to work on the sleds with the starting three of Jermayne Lole, D.J. Davidson and George Lea leading the group. Lambert has continued to work with the defensive line as an edge rusher.

Quarterback Dillion Sterling-Cole was back at practice after not appearing during media viewing yesterday.
