Family is important in Herm Edwards’ building, Ngata knows that because his cousin is senior wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk. Defensive line coach Jamar Cain led Ngata’s recruitment, who is currently attending Folsom High School in Folsom, California, about 30 minutes outside of Sacramento.
247Sports and Rivals each rate him as a four-star all-purpose running back. Ngata is listed at 5-foot-9, 185 pounds, for reference Benjamin was listed as 5-foot-9, 205 pounds out of high school.
Ngata is ranked as the Sun Devils highest recruit according to 247Sports. He is listed by the service as the second best all-purpose running back in the nation, California’s ninth-best recruit and 80th overall recruit in the nation.
He also had offers from Clemson, Texas A&M, Alabama, LSU, Penn State, Michigan, Oregon, USC, Washington and a lot, lot more.
