The fifth commit of Arizona State’s 2021 recruiting class has reopened his recruitment. On Thursday, Caleb Banks announced his de-commitment on Twitter.
Thank you to the Arizona State staff for the opportunity and all they have done for me but at this time I will be decommitting and re-opening my recruitment. @AllenTrieu

Banks now joins offensive tackle Marcus Mbow, tight end Garrett Gillette, linebacker Isaiah Pipkins and offensive lineman Charles Lamar Armstrong who have changed paths.
As mentioned in previous articles, it appears Arizona State wanted to open up scholarships for other options. 247Sports rated Banks as its 929th best prospect nationally, 58th rated strong-side defensive end and 26th-ranked recruit in Michigan.
