Josh Christopher received a ton of buzz heading into his freshman season in Tempe. On Monday, he earned the first of many accolades most likely. The Pac-12 named Christopher the conference’s Freshman of the Week following Arizona State Sun Devils first three games.
Christopher averaged 18.7 points in those three games, including a 28-point outburst against Villanova.
After a poor shooting night in the season opener against Rhode Island, he shot 19-28 from the field against Villanova and Houston Baptist. He also added 14 rebounds and three assists in those three games.
